CornVolley – A Fun Game For Everyone

CornVolley is a fun game!

Blind Draw teams of 4.
Each player that signs up must designate themselves as either a Volleyball player or a Cornhole player.
Each team of 4 consists of 2 players designated as Volleyball players and 2 players designated as Cornhole players.
1 match consists of playing one game of 4 vs 4 volleyball and one game of 4 vs 4 cornhole.
Volleyball can be played indoors or outdoors (e.g. sand, or grass).
Cornhole can be played indoors or outdoors.
1 point is awarded for the winner of the 4 vs 4 person volleyball game.
1 point is awarded for the winner of the 4 vs 4 person cornhole game.
1 extra point is awarded if a team wins both games of the match.
Point differential matters in pool play to determine tiebreakers and rankings to qualify for entry into bracket play.
Point differential matters in bracket play to determine the winner.
Point differential matters in pool play to determine which team in the championship has the privilege to determine the championship game format.

First team to reach 21 points and/or go over 21 points wins.
Net scoring cornhole rules apply.
Crew Cup format (4 vs 4) is played on one lane and one set of cornhole boards.
Crew Cup format (4 vs 4) whereby each team has two players on each end of the board throwing against the opposing team’s two players.
Designated Cornhole Players can only throw against Designated Cornhole Players.
Designated Volleyball Players can only throw against Designated Volleyball Players.
4 bags and 4 throws total per team per round.
2 bags out of the 4 throws must be thrown in an alternating format between the two players of each team per round.

Game is to 21 points.
Must win by at least 2 points or greater.
Cap is at 28 points.
Designated Volleyball players can only serve overhand to the opposing team’s designated Volleyball player and must be passed by any of the opposing team’s designated Sand Volleyball player.
A side out will occur if an overhand serve by a designated volleyball player serves a designated cornhole player.
Designated volleyball player overhand serve that is served between a cornhole player and a volleyball player must be passed by the designated volleyball player.
If the volleyball player’s overhand serve is too close to the cornhole player making it unsafe for the volleyball player to pass the ball then a side out will occur in favor of the receiving team.

The tournament director determines the number of teams that qualify to advance into Bracket Play.
The top teams that advance to Bracket Play will compete in a single match game and each winning team advances to play another single match game and each losing team is eliminated until there are two teams that remain.

There are many other fun formats to play the CornVolley game.

EXAMPLES BELOW

Instead of Crew Cup style, you can play the cornhole game on 2 lanes and 2 cornhole boards with 2 vs 2 cornhole players throwing on one lane and 2 vs 2 volleyball players throwing on the other lane.

The team with the highest point ranking from pool play can determine one of two style options (see below) in order to determine the championship.

Option A: One match played and the team with the highest point differential wins.
Option B: One match played. The point differential does not apply. If a single team doesn’t win both games of the match then a third final game is played to decide the championship. The final third game is played as either volleyball or cornhole.
